Allocasuarina is a genus of trees in the flowering plant family Casuarinaceae. They are endemic to Australia, occurring primarily in the south. Like the closely related genus Casuarina, they are commonly called sheoaks or she-oaks. These pods not only look beautiful in any setup but are one of our proud native seed pods
SIZE: They're about (2.5-3cm) in diameter on average, These pods will leach some tannins into the water over the long term.
PREPARATION: You need to boil She-oak Pods for at least an hour (sometimes a bit more) to really saturate them, because they do float when first immersed.
ORIGIN: Native to Australia we source ours from South Western Australia
