CHRISTMAS MOSS
SCIENTIFIC NAME: VESICULARIA MONTAGNEI
COMMON NAMES: CHRISTMAS MOSS, XMAS MOSS
Christmas Moss is a popular aquatic moss to use in shrimp tanks, planted aquariums, and in the botanical method aquarium. You can attach it to the hardscape of your aquarium using super glue or thread, and it will slowly grow and creep. Named for its resemblance to the branches of a Christmas tree, this moss features vibrant green, triangular fronds that create a cascading effect as it grows.
Christmas Moss thrives in water temperatures (20-25°C) and benefits from occasional pruning to maintain its desired shape. It’s a hardy, slow-growing plant that adapts well to both high-tech and low-tech setups.
