Scientific name: Apistogramma Borellii
Origin : Native to southern Brazil, Paraguay and northern Argentina. It occurs in creeks and tributaries of both the Rio Paraguay and lower Rio Paraná basins.

Maximum size: 6-7cm Males 4-5 cm Females
Selling size: 2.0-3.0 cm and above
Temperature: 22 – 29 °C (25°C preferred)
pH: 6-7.8 Our fish are bred and grown at a ph between 6.0 and 7.5
Diet: Primarily carnivorous and apparently feeds mostly on benthic invertebrates in nature. In the aquarium live and frozen foods such as Brine shrimp, Daphnia and Blackworms should be offered regularly although most specimens will also learn to accept dried alternatives with pelleted products generally preferred to flake.

I received my trio of Apistogramma Borellii "Opal" in fantastic condition. They were very well packed with some aquarium plants in the bag to make them as comfortable as possible. My trio have settled in very nicely in the first week. The male, although still quite young, is really starting to colour up into a stunning young fish. Bought a pair of A.borellii the other week and they arrived within 24hrs on the doorstep in excellent condition.
